The Foot Levelers Blue Ridge Marathon is the premier running event in the Roanoke Valley. It showcases our region to runners across the country and the globe and has created a multi-million dollar economic impact for the region over the past 17 years. Festivities start with packet pickup and a concert on Friday evening in Elmwood Park, continue on Saturday with the main event - a 26.2 mile foot race that goes up Mill Mountain, to the Blue Ridge Parkway, back into the city to Mill Mountain Star, through neighborhoods, and finishing in Elmwood Park. A concert follows in the evening, and the weekend is wrapped up on Sunday with the "Slow-K" 5K event on the greenway. https://www.roanokeva.gov/calendar.aspx?EID=8606

Participants will register at Betheny Christian Church. Each church will provide a 20 minute presentation on the church and how the witness outside the walls of the church. Participants will walk to Williamson Road Church of the Brethren, be greeted and provided a presentation. After the presentation participants will walk to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox church for a presentation, tour and lunch. All churches are handicap accessible. All have bathrooms and water.
