This is a Workforce Discovery Lab student interview date! Please register and fill out the information in order to hold your spot and ensure that you will be able to interview to be a part of this year's Workforce Discovery Lab. Note: When registering, please put N/A or None for company name and title Interview Schedule: (Click the date you would like to interview to take you to the registration page.) Saturday, May 23, 2026 | 12-2 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2026 | 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.  Friday, May 29, 2026 | 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2026 | 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.  Tuesday, June 2, 2026 | 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.  Wednesday, June 10, 2026 | 2 - 4 p.m.  Thursday, June 11, 2026 | 9:30 - 11 a.m.  Interviews will be 15-minute-long one-on-one discussions with interviewers. For the interview, please prepare a short, 5-minute presentation covering the following details. This presentation can be simply verbal, or you can bring materials like presentation slides if you would like. Tell us about yourself! Why do you want to be a part of this program? What value will you bring to the program and your fellow students?  After your presentation, your interviewer will ask a few questions. Please confirm you are available from August 3rd - August 14th from 9am to 5:30pm. If you’re not able to, you will not be able to be accepted into the program. Please be sure to confirm this before your interview. Have you participated in any programs to help you with post high school success? This includes internships, summer programs, or some clubs or school sports. Please tell me about your experience with them. (This question will not factor into your acceptance) Please tell me about an Academic Challenge you've faced and how you overcame it. Please tell me about tangible support you’ve received from family or mentors. This can range from telling you about programs like ours to simply meaningful advice. Now please tell me about any barriers to access success you’ve experienced at home. Examples may be a language barrier, access to technology, dedicating time to taking care of family members, etc. What excites you the most about this program? And what do you hope to learn? Will you need any support from us to participate in this program? Such as accommodations? Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: June 11 at 10:30AM with performances from Blue Thunder. Where: Westfield Southcenter (2800 Southcenter Mall, Tukwila, WA, 98188); Macy’s Court and then over to the 2nd floor of the old Sear’s space. The world’s biggest soccer tournament is coming to the Puget Sound region, and the City of Tukwila- the epicenter of soccer in the Pacific Northwest is ready to celebrate. With six matches set to be played at Lumen Field, Tukwila is joining the excitement by hosting a citywide lineup of activities and local experiences throughout the tournament season, from June 11 through July 19.  The City has partnered with Westfield Southcenter to host an indoor viewing lounge at the largest mall in the Pacific Northwest. The lounge will operate throughout the tournament and will feature family-friendly activities and opportunities for the community to gather and celebrate the games together. The easiest parking access is on the second floor of the Olympic Parking Garage, with entry to the mall available via the skybridge.  This is a community event, and we encourage you to help spread the word about the grand opening. With FIFA World Cup 2026 matches beginning June 15 in the Seattle region, the City of SeaTac is moving quickly and deliberately to make sure its residents, businesses, and visitors are ready for one of the largest sporting events in the world. As home to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, three Link Light Rail stations, and one of the most genuinely international communities in the Pacific Northwest, SeaTac is not a bystander to this moment. The City is investing in it. In partnership with Growing Contigo and SeaTac BMX, the plaza will feature daily programming with emphasis days on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays, with a mini soccer pitch, BMX pump track activity, and food.
