With FIFA World Cup 2026 matches beginning June 15 in the Seattle region, the City of SeaTac is moving quickly and deliberately to make sure its residents, businesses, and visitors are ready for one of the largest sporting events in the world. As home to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, three Link Light Rail stations, and one of the most genuinely international communities in the Pacific Northwest, SeaTac is not a bystander to this moment. The City is investing in it. Here is a look at what you can expect in the weeks ahead!   Adjacent to the https://www.soundtransit.org/ride-with-us/stops-stations/angle-lake-station, the Bullpen site recently acquired by the City and now in transformation will serve as a cornerstone of SeaTac’s FIFA footprint. In partnership with Métier Brewing Company and Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce, the site will feature community programming, food, and entertainment with programming on Sundays and Thursday.

Join us for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony  SeaTac Welcoming Plaza Steps from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and the SeaTac/Airport Link Light Rail Station, this activation site puts SeaTac’s welcome mat at the literal front door of the region. In partnership with Growing Contigo and SeaTac BMX, the plaza will feature daily programming with emphasis days on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays, with a mini soccer pitch, BMX pump track activity, and food. Capacity is about 190 people.    Monday-Sunday: Hours of operations are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
