Up and Atom: Snow Shovel Challenge

Join us for Up and Atom STEAM Days where we try out different STEAM and craft activities.  The snow is piling up, and the sidewalks won’t shovel themselves. Use your engineering prowess to design a snow shovel strong enough to tackle the job.

Community Compass

Offered as an extension of our Social Work program, drop-in to connect with University of Washington Tacoma's Master of Social Work Practicum Students. They will be happy to listen and assist patrons with general support and resource navigation. 

Teen Time

Middle School and High School students are invited to join us at the South Tacoma branch Teen Time. Meet new friends, relax, play games, work on homework, or make a craft. We'll do something different each time!

Join us for Read Across Tacoma! This special event features free giveaway books by Black authors and interactive literacy experiences. Activities include sing-a-longs, storytelling, and stepping lessons from Vision Step Team to make reading fun and culturally relevant. Through Read Across Tacoma, Vision235 aims to increase literacy access, inspire a love of reading, and create affirming educational experiences for marginalized youth. Read Across Tacoma is free and open to all youth. This program is presented by Vision253, funded by Tacoma Creates, and hosted by Tacoma Public Library.
