Dig into Paramount history on a free backstage tour! Learn about The Paramount’s beginnings in 1931 and our long legacy of community involvement from the Great Depression to the magical reopening! Discover the movers and shakers behind The Paramount’s construction, the movie palace architecture, and the behind-the-scenes details of the two-year-long restoration! See the backstage Wall of Fame, where hundreds of artists have left their autographs and more! Entry is free. The tour will be approximately 1 hour in length. Reservations for the tour are strongly recommended, as space is limited. Tour schedules are subject to change. Graham Nash will perform a career-spanning retrospective of his six decades of contributions to contemporary music. Joined by Todd Caldwell (keyboards), Adam Minkoff (bass, drums, guitar, and vocals), and Zack Djanikian (guitar, bass, drums, and vocals), Nash will take the audience on a musical journey that encompasses his years with The Hollies, CSN, CSNY, and his beloved solo efforts. ABOUT GRAHAM NASH Nash is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, with Crosby, Stills and Nash, and with the Hollies. He was also inducted twice into the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame, as a solo artist and with CSN, and he is a GRAMMY Award winner. Towering above virtually everything that Graham Nash has accomplished in his multi-faceted career stands the litany of songs that he has written and introduced to the soundtrack of the past half-century. His remarkable body of work, beginning with his contributions to the Hollies opus, including “On a Carousel” and “Carrie Anne,” continues all the way to Now (2023), his most recent solo album. The original classic union of Crosby, Stills & Nash (& Young) lasted but twenty months.  Yet their songs are lightning rods embedded in our DNA, starting with Nash’s “Marrakesh Express,” and “Lady of the Island,” from the first Crosby, Stills & Nash LP (1969), and “Teach Your Children” and “Our House” on CSNY’s Déjà Vu (1970). Nash’s solo career debuted with Songs For Beginners (1971), which included “Chicago/We Can Change the World” and “Military Madness” and others. In addition to his string of solo albums, he has performed and recorded with David Crosby as Crosby/Nash. Their eponymously titled Graham Nash/David Crosby (1972) is bookended by Nash’s “Southbound Train” and “Immigration Man.”

Join the Chamber Rising Professionals for an afternoon of volunteering with the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Click this link to sign up today. Help us pack food boxes for low-income seniors enrolled in the Senior Food Box program, also known as the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP). Thanks to this program and your efforts, elderly neighbors can count on nutritious food every month.  As part of an assembly-line effort, you will help by:  Packing boxes with food items Keeping the packing area stocked with the correct foods Inserting nutrition information in the boxes Labeling, sealing, and stacking boxes on pallets Breaking down empty boxes Ensure food distribution room and all storage space is clean and tidy after each shift All individuals who volunteer with the Food Bank are required to create an account on the BRAFB volunteer website. Create an account using the join code below, then sign up for your shift. Spots are limited to eight people. Don't forget to register through the Chamber website as well.

Welcome to The Evolution Tour! THE STORY OF STEP AFRIKA! Founded in 1994 by C. Brian Williams, Step Afrika! is the world’s leading authority on the art form of stepping.
