The classes are available at no cost to adults who want to improve on basic math and English skills in order to obtain a high school equivalency, enter post-secondary education, or prepare for additional workforce training. Penta will prepare students to take the Official GED Test. Penta provides free practice test vouchers for enrolled students.Registration is required and orientation is mandatory. Get ready for some friendly competition and fun! The Senior Library Lanes Wii Bowling League will meet every Thursday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Walbridge Library starting September 22 through December 15.Teams of two will be scheduled to bowl against another team in a one-hour session, playing two games during that time.At the end of the season, all participants are invited to a celebration banquet on December 15, where we’ll gather to reflect on the fun and friendship of the fall season.A full schedule will be provided once registration is complete. Registration is required. To register, sign up at the Walbridge Library front desk. Once the league is full, additional registrants will be placed on the substitute list.

Start your ovens! BG’s biggest holiday cookie bake and taste is Monday, December 8 at 7:00 pm in the Bowling Green Library. There is no entry free for bakers and no cost for tasters.Bakers should arrive at 6:45 pm and bring cookies (either small cookies or cut into bite-sized pieces). Bakers can enter more than one recipe into the contest.Tasters simply need to come to the library to taste all the cookies! Each taster will be given five tickets to give to their favorite recipes.Music will be provided by Hoehner Piano Studio, courtesy of Vicki Hoehner and Bethany Slembarski.
