Unleash your creativity, discover the secrets of the outdoors, and dig into the fun at Snug Harbor’s Summer Break Youth Programming! WHEN: Session hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM After-care hours (additional charge): 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM Children must be registered for a Summer Break session to participate in that week’s after-care. Sessions are available for Middle School students (6th – 8th grade) on: Urban Wetlands Warriors: July 13 -July 17 | August 10 – August 14 WHERE: Meet at Red Barn by Compost Demo Site and Heritage Farm (View Site Map and Directions) ADMISSION: General Admission: $350 per student per week Snug Harbor Member: 10% Discount Early Bird Discount: Register by May 18 (July programs) / July 13 (August programs) to receive an additional 10% discount) After-care hours* (4:00 PM – 5:30 PM): $75/week This program is for children in 6th – 8th graders REGISTER NOW! This interactive program invites your children to discover how wetlands protect our watersheds and start to explore the impacts of urban development. Through interactive and socially engaging activities, hands-on eco-arts and crafts, field observations, independent reading times and engaging activities with inspiring guest presenters; children will use the scientific method to uncover the secrets of these vital ecosystems. By week’s end, they’ll create a group project to share with friends and family, showcasing their discoveries and ideas for protecting these essential habitats.
