Join the Blackfeet Singers and Dancers to experience contemporary and traditional Blackfeet history and culture through narration and fancy, jingle, traditional, and grass dance demonstrations.Blackfeet Singers and Dancers continue the long-standing tradition of sharing Blackfeet culture with Glacier National Park visitors through traditional songs and dance. Glacier National Park has been the backyard to the Blackfeet People since long before the park was established. Since the arrival of the first train, the Blackfeet have been here to greet visitors. The Blackfeet Singers and Dancers group has been giving visitors a glimpse of the past with their singing, dancing, and narrative of Glacier National Park for over 25 years.

Members of the Blackfeet Nation and the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes share personal knowledge of their history and culture as part of the Native America Speaks program.This program began in 1982 and is the longest running Indigenous speaker series in the National Park Service. Native America Speaks is made possible by donations to the Glacier National Park Conservancy.This event takes place at the Museum of the Plains Indian in the neighboring community of Browning, MT.

Hike with both U.S. National Park Service and Parks Canada staff on this exploration of the world's first International Peace Park. Hike across the international boundary from Waterton to Goat Haunt and return to Waterton on the 5:25 pm boat. Each hike includes a boat trip fee and requires a passport and other documentation to cross the border between the United States and Canada. Moderate, 9-mile (14.4 km) hike.Please review the following information to attend this program:A one-way boat ticket must be purchased from Waterton Shoreline Cruises at the Waterton Marina for the 5:25 pm sailing from Goat Haunt to Waterton prior to starting the hike. More information on the purchase of a ticket can be found on the Waterton Shoreline Cruises website: www.watertoncruise.com.Participants must complete the digital U.S. Customs and Border Protection's ROAM application to cross the international border on this hike. We recommend downloading the CBP ROAM app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and completing the registration process in advance. The process requires the ability to receive a phone call or video chat on your mobile device and may take some time to complete. You cannot initiate this process until you are in Canada, but please do not wait until right before the hike. Visitors are required to have an approved entrance notification prior to starting the hike. Hikers should also carry a valid passport.US citizens must have a US passport or enhanced driver's license.Canadian citizens must have a Canadian passport or enhanced driver's license.Citizens from other countries must have a valid passport and a current I-94 or an I-94W (white or green card posted in your passport when you enter the USA at a Class A Port of Entry).This is a moderately difficult all-day hike with several steep uphill sections.Hazards include roots, rocks, small stream crossings, and thick brush.At the end of the hike, you must cross a suspension bridge approximately 12 feet above the water. Hikers who are afraid of water or heights should be aware of this. Sturdy boots, long pants, rain gear, sunscreen, and insect repellent are recommended. Bring two liters of water per person, lunch, and snacks to last you all day.You may wish to park your vehicle at the Marina so that you don't have to walk back to the trailhead to retrieve it at the end of the day.

Discover why Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park is one of the most unique areas in all of North America as you traipse through towering trees and traverse alongside Waterton River. Bring a snack to eat above the cascading water of Rainbow Falls on this easy hike. Board the 10 am cruise from Waterton and make arrangements with the boat company to return on the 2:25 pm boat. Boat tickets are only available in person at the ticket office (www.watertoncruise.com). Easy, 2-mile (3.2 km) hike.Participants must complete the digital U.S. Customs and Border Protection's ROAM application to participate in this hike. We recommend downloading the CBP ROAM app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and completing the registration process in advance. The process requires the ability to receive a phone call or video chat on your mobile device and may take some time to complete. You cannot initiate this process until you are in Canada, but please do not wait until right before your cruise departs. Visitors are required to have an approved entrance notification prior to starting the hike at Goat Haunt. Hikers should also carry a valid passport.

Join the Blackfeet Singers and Dancers to experience contemporary and traditional Blackfeet history and culture through narration and fancy, jingle, traditional, and grass dance demonstrations.Blackfeet Singers and Dancers continue the long-standing tradition of sharing Blackfeet culture with Glacier National Park visitors through traditional songs and dance. Glacier National Park has been the backyard to the Blackfeet People since long before the park was established. Since the arrival of the first train, the Blackfeet have been here to greet visitors. The Blackfeet Singers and Dancers group has been giving visitors a glimpse of the past with their singing, dancing, and narrative of Glacier National Park for over 25 years.

Native America Speaks is made possible by donations to the Glacier National Park Conservancy. This special Native America Speaks program is a cultural presentation and hike along the South Shore Trail in the Two Medicine Valley.Iron Shield CreativeLailani Upham is an Amskapi Pikuni (Blackfeet Nation) tribal member and a descendent from the Aaniiih Nakoda and Dakota tribes. Lailani grew up on the Blackfeet and Fort Belknap Indian reservations where she explored her home landscapes as a kid and got into trouble for taking off into the mountains without notice on adventures. She grew up hearing the stories and history of her tribal people and was grounded in identity through the passing down of oral traditions from her grandparents on both sides of her family and tribal lineage. Lailani is the Blackfeet Tribe Tourism and Economic Development Administrator leading to make the Blackfeet homelands a destination spot in Western Montana. She is also the visionary behind Iron Shield Creative LLC a consulting platform crafting Indigenous stories and holding creative Indigenous workshops from indoors to the outdoors. She is a multidisciplinary journalist photojournalist and filmmaker specializing in Indigenous storytelling land stewardship and culturally relevant activities. She is passionate about land conservation efforts as well as traditional and contemporary Blackfeet and Native cultures. She says her experience and passion have led her to a closer connection to nature and like-minded storytellers while vamping up a hunger to encourage others to tap into their voice through written and visual storytelling. Above all Lailani loves being a grandmother mother daughter sister auntie and friend and takes these roles very seriously. Lailani is a U.S. Army veteran and Indigenous woman business owner where she promotes tribal and cultural values every day by living her best strongest fearless and hilarious life.

Hike with both U.S. National Park Service and Parks Canada staff on this exploration of the world's first International Peace Park. Hike across the international boundary from Waterton to Goat Haunt and return to Waterton on the 5:25 pm boat. Each hike includes a boat trip fee and requires a passport and other documentation to cross the border between the United States and Canada. Moderate, 9-mile (14.4 km) hike.Please review the following information to attend this program:A one-way boat ticket must be purchased from Waterton Shoreline Cruises at the Waterton Marina for the 5:25 pm sailing from Goat Haunt to Waterton prior to starting the hike. More information on the purchase of a ticket can be found on the Waterton Shoreline Cruises website: www.watertoncruise.com.Participants must complete the digital U.S. Customs and Border Protection's ROAM application to cross the international border on this hike. We recommend downloading the CBP ROAM app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and completing the registration process in advance. The process requires the ability to receive a phone call or video chat on your mobile device and may take some time to complete. You cannot initiate this process until you are in Canada, but please do not wait until right before the hike. Visitors are required to have an approved entrance notification prior to starting the hike. Hikers should also carry a valid passport.US citizens must have a US passport or enhanced driver's license.Canadian citizens must have a Canadian passport or enhanced driver's license.Citizens from other countries must have a valid passport and a current I-94 or an I-94W (white or green card posted in your passport when you enter the USA at a Class A Port of Entry).This is a moderately difficult all-day hike with several steep uphill sections.Hazards include roots, rocks, small stream crossings, and thick brush.At the end of the hike, you must cross a suspension bridge approximately 12 feet above the water. Hikers who are afraid of water or heights should be aware of this. Sturdy boots, long pants, rain gear, sunscreen, and insect repellent are recommended. Bring two liters of water per person, lunch, and snacks to last you all day.You may wish to park your vehicle at the Marina so that you don't have to walk back to the trailhead to retrieve it at the end of the day.
