We will also work on reading comprehension and engage in fun activities that go along with our book.  The other part of this program will be STEM activities like building things with various types of blocks, programming robots, creating art projects, and conducting some simple science experiments. Nature-loving readers with a passion for the outdoors, unite! This year-round, all-weather, nature-themed book club is for the adventurous reader who enjoys walking outdoors. We will start our monthly meetings with a 45â60-minute walk outside and then settle in for a hearty book discussion. This program will run in ALL types of weather (except severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, or any inclement weather that causes the library to close). Proper clothing, outerwear and footwear is a must for your comfort and safety (think layers, hats, rain jackets, gloves, snow pants, boots, sunscreen, bug spray, water bottles, snacks, etc.)  Rather than read the same book each month, our book club will center around books about the great outdoors with everyone reading a nature-themed book of their choice.  Meeting location during May-October will vary among different local parks. Join us on our cozy, mysterious lower level, our secret lair of board game bliss (or, you know, the basement). This is a 16+ event where adults and older teens can gather, snack, and unleash their competitive spirits over tabletop games. Weâll provide some classic and new games, as well as snacks to fuel your brain power. If you have a favorite game or snack, bring it along!No experience? No problem! Whether youâre a seasoned strategist or totally new to tabletop games, everyone is welcome to join the fun.Oh, and hereâs the fine print: no little guild members allowed. This is strictly an adventure for the grown-ups and teens 16+, and unfortunately, weâre unable to offer child care.
