Eagle Roost Monitoring in Verplank from Saw Mill River Audubon

We're joining with our sister chapter, Bedford Audubon, to monitor the winter roosts of bald eagles on the Hudson shore. IMPORTANT: START TIME VARIES --> We start 1.5 hrs before dusk at the Verplanck Dock (see address below) and count and age the eagles coming to roost on the N side of George's Island and across the river at Stony Point. Stop by and join us. DRESS WARMLY since it tends to be quite colder along the river shore compared to inland locations!Monitoring will continue on all Thursdays, weather permitting, in Jan and Feb.
