A commemoration of Memorial Day, beginning with an 11 am ceremony in the church, and followed by a tour, with flowers and flags, of the historic cemetery, exploring the lives and services of many of the veterans buried at the site.  We will present special honors to Maj......More

A commemoration of Memorial Day, beginning with an 11 am ceremony in the church, and followed by a tour, with flowers and flags, of the historic cemetery, exploring the lives and services of many of the veterans buried at the site.  We will present special honors to Major Charles Turnbull who served in the artillery of the Continental Army during the revolutionary War. Descendants of Major Turnbull will be part of the commemoration.  At 1:30 PM, there will be a performance, and sing along, of songs of the American Revolution and the Civil War.No reservation needed for live attendance at the site, but please register through the Contact e mail for link information for the livestream of the 1:30 PM performance.

We are pleased to offer tours of the museum and of the historic church, Monday to Friday, at the following times: 12 Noon, 2 PM and 4 PM.  These are reservation tours, of 45-minute duration. In the museum, the current feature exhibition is, "The Emergence of a National Historic Site: St. Paul's Between the World Wars". Other displays explore the American Revolution and the Lenape, the original inhabitants of the St. Paul's area.  In the church, visitors observe and learn about the significance of original appearance of 1787, and also gain an appreciation of the use of the edifice as a military field hospital during the Revolutionary War. Other features include the 1830 Erben, one of America's oldest working pipe organs.  Brief recitals are avilable upon request.  Please use the  https://www.recreation.gov website for advance reservations, and please arrive ten minutes before your scheduled tour time.     In addition, self-guided tours of the grounds and historic cemetery, weather and conditions permitting, are available Monday to Friday, 10 AM - 4 PM.  Reservation are not required for the self guided tours of the grounds.
