Please join us for our meeting and learn about how you can help spread joy throughout the community, make a real difference for youth and support the Optimist Mission "By providing hope and positive vision, Optimists bring out the best in our youth, our communities, and ourselves."  We meet at the Verona Senior Center on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from 6:30-8 p.m. The 4th Thursday meeting is a special guest meeting where we often have guest speakers and other informational, educational and joyous activities planned in addition to our volunteer coordination work.

Verona Lions To Hold Food Drive   In an effort to help curb hungry in our community the Verona Lions will be holding a food drive to benefit the Badger Prairie Needs Network- Food Pantry.   The food drive will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Miller & Sons Supermarket, 210 S Main St, Verona from 9:00 am-1:00 pm.    As shoppers enter the store a member of the Verona Lions will hand them a list of food and non-food items needed by the pantry.  Shoppers are encouraged to purchase one or more of the items as they shop.  Collections boxes will be located near the store exit to drop off the donations.  It is the club’s goal to collect 1,000 pounds of donated items that day.  Cash and credit card donations will also be accepted at the event for the pantry.  If you would like to make a donation on-line for the food drive, use this link: https://www.veronawilions.org.  The Verona Lions Club Foundation is a 501[c]3 charitable organization and all donations are tax deductible.    The food drive is part of a “Relieving Hunger” initiative of Lions clubs world-wide to raise public awareness of the vital role Lions clubs play in their communities.    Here is the list that could be used for your food drive. We invite members of the community to attend one of our meetings to learn what great things we are doing in the community.  The Verona Lions Club is committed to making the Verona area a better place to live.  Whether it is screening children's vision at area pre-schools, collecting school supplies for the students in our schools, collecting stretch plastic to be made into benches that are donated to the community, holding food drives for the food pantry, or providing a free morning to visit with Santa the Lions truly live up to our motto of "We Serve".

We usually meet at Stone Porch Ale House, 950 Kimball Ln, Verona on the third Wednesday of the month for a meal off the menu and a business meeting. But if there is a room conflict we will meet at different locations. Please check our website for the
