Join us for the first Networking Lunch in a series where the Muskego Chamber focuses on different nonprofit organizations within our local community.  For this first event, we will focus on a newer and little known organization that is facilitated by some of our school faculty. It is called Distinguished Young Women of Muskego. They are connected with the larger organization called Distinguished Young Women and place an emphasis on scholarships, leadership, and talent for teenage gals. The Events Committee helps organize and implement the Chamber's events for business members and the community. Chamber members are welcome to volunteer on the Events Committee. Interested? Contact [email protected]. Duties Attend committee meetings as scheduled. Focus on annual events organized by the Chamber of Commerce as identified and defined by the Chamber's Board of Directors. Assist in obtaining event sponsors and promoting the event to businesses and/or community. Volunteer in the planning, setup/clean up, and activities of the Chamber's events. Current annual events handled by this committee include the Awards Gala & Fundraiser (March), Jammin' in the Park (June), DandiLion Daze Parade (August), and Golf Outing (September). Benefits of Volunteering Meet, encourage, and collaborate with other business members and event guests. Create positive networking relationships. The Board of Directors is the governing body responsible for policy-making and fiduciary oversight of the Muskego Area Chamber of Commerce. Our board consists of small business owners, local business managers, and entrepreneurs who are passionate about making the communities we serve (Muskego, Big Bend, Town of Norway, and Wind Lake) prosperous, vibrant, and a destination for work, home, and play. During the first quarter of the year, Chamber members elect Board members for the upcoming term of April 1 through March 31.
