The Events Committee helps organize and implement the Chamber's events for business members and the community. Chamber members are welcome to volunteer on the Events Committee. Interested? Contact [email protected]. Duties Attend committee meetings as scheduled. Focus on annual events organized by the Chamber of Commerce as identified and defined by the Chamber's Board of Directors. Assist in obtaining event sponsors and promoting the event to businesses and/or community. Volunteer in the planning, setup/clean up, and activities of the Chamber's events. Current annual events handled by this committee include the Awards Gala & Fundraiser (March), Jammin' in the Park (June), DandiLion Daze Parade (August), and Golf Outing (September). Benefits of Volunteering Meet, encourage, and collaborate with other business members and event guests. Create positive networking relationships. When used consistently, this process can lead to uncovering opportunities and innovations that are not typically sought. All too often, we rest once we think we know. This workshop will explore the value of conducting a root cause analysis and the methods you can incorporate into your daily work. Examine the most common approaches used to identify problems in a system. Explore Process Mapping and How-How Diagrams. Learn tools to identify and test causes. Identify approaches to reduce and eliminate causes. Practice identifying the root cause of a problem.

The art of good-decision making is particularly important for leaders and managers, although everyone can benefit from this skill. Being able to systematically work through various options, from root cause understanding to potential opportunity analysis, through anticipating the organizational reaction, is critical not only to making the decision itself, but ensuring that critical thinking is employed, and organizational acceptance creates an effective long-term solution. Learn about the requirements of good decision-making. Identify four basic decision-making styles. This is your chance to give the gift of hope to patients in our community and surrounding areas through blood donation. When you donate, YOU get to vote! Garden Descriptions James and Debbie White’s Garden All in the Family: This home on Little Muskego Lake was built in the 1940's by Arnold Horn. The home was purchased by Pat White in the early 60's. Pat White was a founding member of the Muskego Athletic Association, a president of the Muskego Volunteer Fire Co. and Town Supervisor. Currently their son James and his wife Debbie White own the home. The home and yard have had many additions over the years. The owners enjoy adding perennials and annual plants to the flower beds each year.        Steve Katzman’s Garden This property showcases lush greenery with elegant architectural elements including decorative stones, a serene water feature, and a pergola encompassing the beautifully crafted stone fireplace. Sweeping bed lines edged with stone create rhythm and continuity, while a sophisticated palette of river rock, dark mulch, and ornamental plantings adds depth and contrast.  Mature trees frame the property offering both shade and a sense of privacy. Every detail, from the placement of the ornamental grasses to the architectural harmony of the hardscapes, reflects exceptional care and craftsmanship. This is a lot more than a yard-it's a fully realized outdoor environment.     Kim Bergendahl’s Garden Blooms and Boats: This lakeside garden offers a beautiful view from both the yard and the water. Over the years the homeowners have enhanced their yard with an informal cottage style of gardening. In an effort to have blooms all three seasons, beds full of bulbs, perennials, bushes and annuals have been planted closely together to provide a lively mix of color and texture that continually changes. Spring tulips and irises give way to rose bushes and petunias in summer which then mingle with phlox and mums in the fall. Bird feeders and a small pond, along with an occasional baseball or golf ball, can also be found among the flowers. Grandchildren, rabbits, and chipmunks are common visitors in this busy yard.
