Acrylic Painting at the Library:  You may bring: your own canvas, brushes, water container, chalk pencil, (If desired: easel, snack and beverage).  You are welcome to use the supplies available at the library.  We have canvases, brushes, chalk, and paint, but they may or may not be the size canvas or brushes, or paint colors used in the presentation.  You may bring your own paint or choose from the paint available at the library.  You may change the colors if you wish, but the YouTube video will be using the colors listed on the handout you’ll receive when you register. You may check out this presentation in advance if you wish.  Under the presentation, are lists of supplies needed.  They include links to order supplies from, if you’d like or find this helpful. During the Summer two times will be offered.  You may choose to attend a session at 1pm or 6pm.  Each will last about three hours. In June, we will paint “Ocean Beach Chair” with Michelle the Painter.

Programs for The Littles are planned for 3-5 year olds to attend with an adult caregiver.  Those a bit older or younger are welcome to attend, but not all activities will be suitable for the littlest our our littles.  Programs will last about an hour. On June 18th at 9am we will read “Dinosaur vs. The Library” by Bob Shea.  We will be creating a dinosaur garden and plan to be outside working with plants and soil. Littles may count their books for reading points to earn a reading medal (50 points). Books count for reading patch collections (25 points per patch). They also count for the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program. All children’s points will be tallied for the Reading Challenge between the Adults and the Kids.
