North Lakeland School will soon be offering our K ~ 2 grade students an opportunity to participate in the Boulder Junction After School Reading Program, as a Lighted Schoolhouse after-school programming option. The Boulder Junction Library is pleased to continue their after-school reading program! Themed sessions with Mrs. Kate and Mrs. Nelson will include read alouds, art projects, games, and other activities. Participants will also have the opportunity to borrow a book from the Boulder Junction Public Library, brought in weekly by staff member Kate Frisk. Permission forms for library card use as well as library card applications will be sent along with this form. Please be vigilant of projected absences, and other obligations on course dates to ensure roster spot fairness to all. A pre-k session will be available after Christmas break! Course day is on Mondays, from 3:30 ~ 4:30. This begins on September 30th and ends December 16. North Lakeland School will soon be offering our K ~ 2 grade students an opportunity to participate in Schoolhouse Science, with Vicky Mumford as a Lighted Schoolhouse after-school programming option. In this experiment based class, students will get an opportunity and start to learn about volcanoes, massive slime experiments, baking soda bottle rockets, rolling egg investigations, tie-dyeing tee shirts, and more! It would be helpful if you could collect any newspapers, paper towel or toilet paper rolls, 20 oz. plastic bottles, two liter bottles, and corks. Please send a plain white tee shirt on the first course day as well to be pre-soaked, and prepped for the following weeks activity. Please let me know beforehand if you need a white tee shirt.
