North Lakeland School will soon be offering our K ~ 2 grade students an opportunity to participate in Read & Build an Teddy Bear Ornament, as a Lighted Schoolhouse after-school programming option. Join Mrs. Nelson and Mrs. Callender in conjunction with The Home Depot Kids Workshop to build a teddy bear ornament with a photo, after reading a holiday story! This class will incorporate hands on learning that encourages skill building and creativity. This class will focus on skills such as following step-by-step instructions, working with hand tools such as hammers and screwdrivers, and painting ~ all while getting into the holiday spirit! Turning in a permission slip does not automatically guarantee admission. The Boulder Junction Library is pleased to continue the final session of their after-school reading program! Themed sessions will include a weekly read-aloud, art projects, games, and fun engaging activities. Participants will also have the opportunity to borrow books from a selection of different books brought along by a library staff member. Please be vigilant of your projected absences, and other obligations on the course dates to ensure roster spot fairness to all.
