“THE CHOSEN”  STUDY GROUP This study group is open our community on a come-as-you-can basis. Season Two of The Chosen video series begins on April 9. This 8-week segment will continue until the end of May on Thursday nights at 6:15pm at Elkhorn First United Methodist Church, 111 N Broad Street, Elkhorn. Come as you can.   Through the captivating video of The Chosen and small group discussions, you will learn, or deepen your understanding, of the life and ministry of JESUS CHRIST. "Happily Ever After" has never been so complicated. The musical Into the Woods, by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine takes everyone’s favorite storybook characters Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (from beanstalk fame), a Witch, Rapunzel, Cinderella, the Baker and his wife, and a handsome prince or two, as they invade one another's stories and find themselves tangled in a web of unexpected consequences. Using these famous fairy tales, it explores the consequences of desires, the complexities of parent-child relationships, and the necessity of community. The characters find that "wishes come true, not free". This musical, filled with spectacular Stephen Sondheim songs, shows us that actions have repercussions, that "no one is alone" in their struggles, and true maturity involves taking responsibility and caring for others. Only together can we defeat the wolves and giants of the world?. Into The Woods has a stunning, unforgettable score featuring "No One is Alone," "Children Will Listen" and "Giants in the Sky". This iconic show will enchant, and delight!  Performing May 1 – 3, 8-10 and 15-17. 7:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 2:00 pm on Sundays at the Sprague Theater, 15 W Walworth Ave, Elkhorn, WI 53121.
