We’re excited to officially launch the Imagination Library of Vilas County! Starting February 7th, Vilas County families will be able to sign their children up to receive free, age-appropriate books mailed directly to their home each month through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.This program is available to eligible children living in Vilas County, helping foster a love of reading from an early age — at no cost to families. How to Sign UpBeginning on February 7th from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, families can register their children at the following locations:Boulder Junction Public LibraryNorthwoods Children’s MuseumLac du Flambeau Public LibraryLand O’ Lakes Public LibraryFrank B. The group meets the second Wednesday of the month at 1:30 pm in the library or community center meeting rooms. Newcomers are always welcome to participate in any month’s discussion. The library is starting a NEW Homeschool Hangout for all ages. Starting in January, the Homeschool Hangout will be held on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month through May. Times will vary weekly so check this website for exact start time. Families will enjoy free play, activities, library-hosted events, and more! Each event will also include an exchange table. Families are encouraged to bring their outgrown items – toys, books, clothes, homeschooling materials, etc. The programs are open to the public and all ages are welcome.
