Event Overview Join regional business leaders, elected officials, and community partners for the 2026 Global Soccer Draw Morning Mixer, a special gathering designed to bring our Southside community together as we prepare for a landmark year of global attention and local opportunity. Hosted at Watershed FC inside Starfire Sports, this morning event offers a first look at the international matchups that will shape the 2026 global soccer landscape. While the draw is broadcast live, attendees will enjoy curated networking, warm breakfast offerings, and space to discuss what this moment means for our regional economy, tourism, and community readiness. What to Expect 8:30 am – 9:00 am: Welcome & Brief Remarks Begin the morning with a casual arrival period, light introductions from event partners, and a brief overview of the regional significance of the 2026 soccer season. 9:00 am – 10:30 am: Broadcast, Breakfast, & Networking Stay for a catered breakfast featuring locally sourced options, coffee, and fresh selections provided by Watershed FC. Join us for a free community celebration that brings together local culture, creativity and connection in a vibrant outdoor experience for all ages. The event will feature seven themed gardens filled with hands-on art and history exhibits, youth-led activities, food trucks, live performances and interactive spaces that highlight the heart of the Southside region. Guests can explore community resources, meet local businesses and enjoy performances from regional schools and cultural groups. Every garden offers something unique to discover, creating an inviting space to learn, celebrate and connect. This celebration is hosted by the Success Foundation and presented by Sound Transit in partnership with the City of Kent, the City of Des Moines and local community organizations. Attendees are encouraged to take transit and be part of welcoming a new era of connection, sustainability and community pride with the opening of the Kent/Des Moines light rail station. VENDOR OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE: Vendor opportunities are available. Spaces are limited and going by quick! Interested vendors can complete the Vendor Interest Form.
