North Bend, WA (December 5th through May 31st, 2026)  Yukiguni—Snow Country—defines the regions of Japan where Siberian winds cross the Sea of Japan and release some of the heaviest snowfall on earth.  Over five winters in the mountains of central Honshu, these photographs explore the delicate graphicism that emerges from extreme conditions. The mountains near Hakuba and Myoko embody a striking juxtaposition: a delicate, graphic simplicity in the undulating foothills and the seeming fragility of resident flora like birch and bamboo, colliding with a savagery apparent in the rugged high alpine regions and the near-constant storms that batter these mountains with incredible amounts of snow and wind.  “This is winter as both architect and eraser, where violence becomes sculptor and storms leave behind only the essential. Group fun run - all levels trail. These runs are designed to satisfy all: the beginner who wants to discover what the buzz about trail running is, the competitive runner who wants to get a few more miles in for that week, and the seasoned ultra-runner who just loves hill repeats! Every week we meet along the I-90 corridor for a 4-mile, +/- 1,000' of vertical trail run which can be completed easily in approximately an hour. We then spend a few minutes refueling, enjoying hot tea or coffee and fellowship.

Every week a different location along the I-90 corridor, between exits 27 and Snoqualmie Pass.

 Instructor: Amy Jarvis with A Lemon Academy  What You'll Learn: Curious about Sashiko? This beginner-friendly class is the perfect place to start. Sashiko is a traditional Japanese hand-stitching practice rooted in usefulness, repair, and quiet beauty. Amy will guide you step by step through the foundational techniques of Sashiko, teaching you the rhythm and structure that make this practice both calming and visually striking.  You’ll learn three classic Sashiko patterns, along with how to measure, mark, and draw patterns, so you can confidently create your own designs long after class ends. No prior experience is needed. This is a slow, supportive space where questions are welcome, hands stay busy, and time softens as the needle finds its flow. By the end of class, you’ll have a stitched practice piece, a clear understanding of Sashiko fundamentals, and materials to take with you, with the confidence to continue exploring this timeless textile art at home. North Bend, WA (December 5th through May 31st, 2026)  Yukiguni—Snow Country—defines the regions of Japan where Siberian winds cross the Sea of Japan and release some of the heaviest snowfall on earth.  Over five winters in the mountains of central Honshu, these photographs explore the delicate graphicism that emerges from extreme conditions. The mountains near Hakuba and Myoko embody a striking juxtaposition: a delicate, graphic simplicity in the undulating foothills and the seeming fragility of resident flora like birch and bamboo, colliding with a savagery apparent in the rugged high alpine regions and the near-constant storms that batter these mountains with incredible amounts of snow and wind.  “This is winter as both architect and eraser, where violence becomes sculptor and storms leave behind only the essential. Working in black and white, these images distill the alpine environment to its essential elements—line, texture, negative space—revealing the quiet geometry that remains when excess is stripped away, leaving only a silencing blanket of snow.”   - Scott Rinckenberger
