The Ferndale Firefighters are teaming up with Santa to collect donation for the Ferndale Food Bank. They will be collecting non-perishable food items and monetary donations throughout Ferndale Neighborhoods.  Friday Santa begins at 6pm.  Saturday and Sunday Santa begins at 4pm .  Watch and listen for Santa in your neighborhood. Go to Whatcom Seven Firefighters' Facebook page to track Santa and his helpers as they visit the neighborhoods with their friendly helper the Grinch and Max the rain-dog.

The Ferndale City Council is the legislative and policy-making body of city government.  Council members are responsible for passing laws through ordinance and policies through resolutions, and approve the annual budget initially proposed by the mayor. The City Council meets at 6 p.m. the first and third Mondays of each month (unless it’s a holiday, then they meet the Tuesday immediately after the Monday holiday). Meetings are held at the City Hall Annex, 5694 Second Avenue. Council members are elected at-large for four-year overlapping terms. Councilmembers are paid $572 a month.

This month we will meet at the Silver Reef Casino in the Tower Rooms located near the Hotel entrance. Doors open at 11:45 am, program begins at 12 pm. This month the Ferndale Highschool Booster Club will be speaking about advertisement opportunities for local businesses. The FHS Boosters Club is a community-based organization that provides support to student athletes in sporting events such as baseball, football, basketball and more. We strive to promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage our students to be active in their local sports communities. Our club also helps facilitate fundraising for various teams and programs so that we can continue to provide high-quality sporting experiences for everyone.  Remember to bring your business cards for networking and to enter yourself into a drawing to win a door prize. Everyone is welcome to bring a door prize although it is not required. This can be merch from your business, a local coffee card, a small gift, etc.

Holiday Santa Breakfast on Saturday, December 20th, from 9:00–11:30 AM at the Ferndale Pavilion! Families, friends, and neighbors are invited to kick off the holiday season with a cozy waffle and hot chocolate bar, photos with Santa, face painting, and fun holiday activities for kids of all ages. The event is a celebration of all cultures and traditions, bringing our community together in the spirit of unity, inclusion, and generosity. All proceeds support the Foundation’s mission to remove financial barriers so Ferndale students can soar, funding essential programs like You Belong Cards, Student Fee Relief, and Scholarships for post-secondary education.
