Join Zoya Kobets from Prana Path for the Wisdom of Nature series: A Meditation Practice in the Garden. The theme for this session is Grounded Consciousness. This practice aims to recenter participants within the rhythms of nature, self, and community. During these sessions, Zoya will lead you through a series of practices designed to help deepen your connection to the Earth. Each session starts with an opening circle followed by slow yoga movements, setting intentions, and then silent meditation. The session will conclude with a guided reflection and affirmation. $14 BBGS Members/$20 Non-Members.

Join host Katie Lila for a viewing of the Follow The Blooms episode featuring Bellevue Botanical Garden when we hosted the Slow Flowers Summit. Airing nationally on PBS this summer, Follow The Blooms is an adventurous floral journey where creativity meets nature in the most unexpected places. Traveling to small flower farms across the region and beyond, Katie seeks out fresh, vibrant blooms at their peak. But the adventure doesn’t stop in the fields! Katie takes these stunning flowers and transforms them into big, joy-filled, hands-on flower installations for communities to enjoy, while sharing the stories of growers, designers, and artists along the way. Katie Lila is the founder of Flowers For People and creator/host of Follow The Blooms, airing nationally on public television this summer.  She’s on a mission to bring flowers out of the background and into everyday life in ways that feel joyful, meaningful, and impossible to ignore. She’s always asking, What else can we do with flowers?  Through Flowers For People, Katie blends floral design, storytelling, community connection, and big visual moments to create work that helps people feel something. From public installations to bouquet concepts to media, she believes flowers can spark beauty, belonging, and a little more aliveness in the world. Her work is rooted in the belief that in a world often divided, flowers soften and unify us. This is a free drop-in event. Registration is not required.

In this walk through the Fuchsia Garden, Carolyn Zebroski will show you some of summer’s most dazzling floral displays cultivated by the Eastside Fuchsia Society since 1992. The breadth of fuchsia selections that can be grown in the Northwest is astounding. In any given year, there are about 100 different kinds of fuchsias on display, and most of them are winter-hardy in the Pacific Northwest. This is your chance to get artistic in the beautiful setting of the Bellevue Botanical Garden with artist Rohini Mathur, where you will create a vibrant Mixed Media Floral Garden scene with fluttering butterflies. Learn how to simplify shapes, create bold color palettes, and build layers that bring your artwork to life. Using acrylics, watercolor pencils, collage, and expressive brushwork, you’ll create a colorful floral garden scene while learning essential concepts in composition, layering, and color-mixing techniques. Participants will leave with a finished floral painting and learn several art skills and tips and tricks that can be applied to their own creative practice. Join us for storytime at the Bellevue Botanical Garden! We will have a reading of a garden-related book and a brief activity. This event is for families with children in grades K-2 or those interested. This is not a drop off program. Adults must attend with children. Storytime for K-2 will take place in the Sharp Cabin at the Bellevue Botanical Garden (southwest of the Urban Meadow follow the signs). This is a free event. Donations are appreciated. Learn more about the birds at the Bellevue Botanical Garden. Join Eastside Audubon for a monthly walk that explores the birds and their habitat in the Garden. This one-mile walk will be on trails with various surfaces and may include gravel, mulch, or pavement. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Parking in the lot is free. From the parking lot enter the garden through the breezeway and turn left. Meet your guide in the covered Gathering Place. This walk is for any level of birder and no experience is necessary. Bring binoculars if you have them. There will be some available to loan for the walk. Each walk is $5 per person. Registration is required.
