The Mariachi ensemble is a performance-oriented group that focuses on traditional Mexican music that is appropriate to the student's skill level. We concentrate on correct instrumental techniques, music reading skills, memorization, ear training, and stage presence. Instrumentation for this ensemble includes Violin, Guitarron, Vihuela, Trumpet and Voice. Instruments are provided if needed. You can also bring your own.

Every Saturday we choose a unique island destination as part of the Island Express Charters Adventure Series. In 2025, we launched a seasonal Adventure Series designed to help people get outside and explore our beautiful backyard at an economical fare. Most Adventure Series trips are just $45 roundtrip for adults (a 50% savings from our standard fares), making non-ferry served island access more attainable for our community. Our Adventure Series focuses on creating space for people to connect with the natural world: hiking island trails, picnicking on remote beaches, visiting marine state parks, and enjoying bird and wildlife observation through a “create your own adventure” format. These trips are self-guided experiences - we provide the ride and the access, and you set the pace and plan your day. There’s no formal guide on site, giving you the freedom to explore the island on your own terms and craft an adventure that’s entirely your own.   On Saturday, June 13th bring your hiking shoes, camera, and a picnic to explore the scenic trails and beaches of Cypress Island! Land at Pelican Beach on the island’s north side and step straight into adventure. From here, wander the 3 mile Duck Lake Loop toward Eagle Harbor, or head west to Smuggler’s Cove for sweeping Rosario Strait views and a quaint beach stop (5 miles roundtrip). Pelican Beach is the perfect starting point for a day of hiking, exploring, and soaking in the natural beauty of Cypress Island. Price: $45 per person, $38 per child ages 3-12, infants and dogs ride free The boat will depart Skyline Marina at 11am with a 30-45 minute travel time to the island. Please join us on June 18th for a Business After Hours event aboard the Island Explorer 5! The event begins at 5:30 pm. The vessel will depart at 6 pm for a one-hour cruise, returning to the dock at 7 pm. The dock is located on Seafarers Way to the left of the Samish Nation building. Look for our “Chamber Event” sign near the top of the ramp. The Island Explorer 5 has outdoor areas, indoor heated cabins, and two large restrooms.  Appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.
