All month: Mystery Quest: The Disappearance of Sherlock Tomes Sherlock Tomes, Essex Junction's greatest literary detective, has disappeared! Using logic and critical thinking skills, you must search the Youth Department for clues, decode riddles, and bring the detective home before it's too late. Ask for the Mystery Quest box at the Youth Desk.   Until December 12th: Hands-On Humanities: Teen Zine Creation Visit the YA Room to create something to add to a zine! Hands-on Humanities focuses on subjects like history, visual arts, and philosophy, so keep those in mind when creating your story, poem, or drawing.  All month: Fairy Tale Scavenger Hunt Visit the gingerbread house in the picture book area and find the hidden fairy and folk tale characters. Find them all to get a treat from the youth desk!

Puzzles rotate as they are completed.   Pattern Swap: Bring in sewing/cross stitch/knitting etc. patterns and take a few!   Puzzle Swap: Bring a puzzle, take a puzzle. Adult and kid friendly puzzles welcome! Only puzzles that have all the pieces. Drop your puzzle off on the table next to the main desk.     Coupon Swap: Do you have extra coupons that aren't useful to you? Bring them in and take a few!   Magazine Swap: Need some new reading material? Check out the magazine swap!  Red Cards: Informational cards are available in several different languages.    Pocket Constitutions are available by the main desk while supplies last.  Lion's Club Eyeglasses Drop Off Station. Do you have old glasses you no longer need? Drop them off at our recycling station! Batter Recycling Station: Do you have old batteries? Drop them off at our recycling station (no exploded batteries please!) Visit the KCR display! Quilts are on display from the Champlain Valley Quilt Guild.

We will look at, reflect on, and analyze daily events and try to discern trends and understand the national picture and the larger world basing the discussion on factual information in a non-judgmental framework. This discussion group is free and open to all. Registration is not required.
