About Us
The Harlingen Public Library provides dynamic and engaging services for a diverse and evolving community. We champion creativity, innovation, literacy, and personal and community development for everyone. More than a thousand visitors daily use the library’s automated catalog, multimedia resources, the Internet, online periodical databases, and over 112,000 books, magazines, e-books, audiobooks, CD’s, and DVDs available for circulation. Our patrons also take advantage of the many story hours, children’s programs, and the many instructional programs available for adults. The library has continually been accredited by the Texas State Library. It also has membership in the Amigos Network for fast interlibrary loan service.
