Summer ITP is our training program we offer during the summer break session. Athletes ages 5 - 14 will develop skills in multiple gymnastics disciplines while in a small group setting. They will work on warm up, individual skills, tumbling, gymnastics, acrobatics, weight training and conditioning. Summer ITP is held Monday-Friday each week beginning June 1st and ending August 14th. We will not have Summer ITP the week of June 29th-July 3rd. Summer ITP will begin each morning at 9:00am with drop off as early as 8:45am and we will finish at 2:45pm. Come to the library for a Foam Party with Big Time Bubbles!  A foam party includes most of the same elements that a regular party would; music and FUN! Our parties revolve around MOUNTAINS OF FOAM created by our PRO-GRADE SUPER FOAM CANNON, which as you can imagine, gets people into party mode pretty quickly. We fill your parking lot with an amazing pile of clean, fun, and refreshing foam! We also toss out beach balls! The Foam is hypo-allergenic, tear free, dye-free, non-staining, scent-free, non-sticky, biodegradable, safe for kids, pets, grass, and the environment.  Remember to wear swimwear and bring a towel, water bottle, and a change of clothes! Water shoes are also recommended as the pavement will be hot and children will get wet in the foam. The library will provide sno-cones!

About the event Singing with Seniors is a show up and sing along event designed to create a fun, casual experience filled with music, laughter, and connection. Volunteers simply come ready to participate?no singing experience required. Familiar songs spark joy, memories, and meaningful moments with the seniors we serve. Music has a powerful way of reaching the heart. For many seniors, singing familiar songs brings comfort, reduces feelings of isolation, and creates a sense of belonging. These moments help seniors feel seen, valued, and connected?often in ways words alone cannot accomplish. Come as you are, sing what you know, and help us fill the room with joy. Children are welcome! What will volunteers do? This is a relaxed, low-pressure event - no performance or preparation needed Your presence matters more than your voice Expect smiles, laughter, and spontaneous moments of connection Seniors may sing, hum, clap, or simply enjoy listening Engagement, encouragement, and warmth are the goal  What will volunteers need to bring or wear? The Bulverde Lions Club participates in a wide variety of service projects that meet the international goals of Lions Clubs International as well as the needs of the local community through its network of dedicated and selfless volunteer members of the Club.  Membership is by invitation, though individuals are rarely turned away, and meetings are conducted on a bimonthly basis.  The Bulverde Lions Club works actively throughout the year in planning and conducting their Annual Wild Game Dinner at Anhalt Hall in Spring Branch, Texas.  The Annual Wild Game Dinner serves delicious exotic food and hosts live and silent auctions consisting of dove hunts, fishing trips, premium guns and many other assorted fishing and hunting items. For many seniors, this time is the highlight of their week - your presence helps ease loneliness, foster connection, and make space for God’s Word to bring comfort and joy.   What will volunteers do? Volunteers will assist the group leader during Bible Story time by helping residents see and hear clearly, offering gentle encouragement, and passing out hymnals and refreshments. Imagine the Hill Country of 100 years ago – see it for yourself at Honey Creek State Natural Area. This protected piece of land harbors plants and animals nurtured by a 1.5-mile spring-fed creek. Access to Honey Creek is only by guided tour. We lead two-mile tours of the natural area most Saturdays and Sundays. For details, check our Events Page at https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/honey-creek/park_events On the tour, you’ll hear about history, geology, plants, and animals of this special place. At the scenic overlook, you’ll get a first glimpse of Honey Creek winding through bald cypress trees far below. The tour culminates in a walk by the pristine and peaceful creek. The trail is about two miles long and moderate in difficulty--much of it is flat.  There are some rocky areas, slopes, and two steep but short hills.  *Expect the walk to last ~2.5 hours - there are frequent stops where your Guide will discuss topics such as flora, fauna and geology.   Who: Recommended for ages 7 and up; no dogs, please, except for service dogs Meet: Outside the Rust House (located within Guadalupe River State Park) When: 9- 11:30am Bring: Sturdy footwear, water, and sun protection.  It is imperative to dress for the weather and be hydrated during the summer months. With four miles of river frontage, the Guadalupe River takes center stage at the park.  We are open daily, with a variety of activities for all interests, ages, and abilities.  Please check the calendar at the website below for the wonderful variety of offerings!    ......More

With four miles of river frontage, the Guadalupe River takes center stage at the park.  We are open daily, with a variety of activities for all interests, ages, and abilities.  Please check the calendar at the website below for the wonderful variety of offerings!    On the river, you can swim, fish, tube, and canoe. While on land, you can camp, hike, ride mountain bikes or horses, picnic, geocache, and bird watch. We loan fishing gear and kid’s explorer packs (free!) for use in the park. Camp at one of 85 water and electric campsites or nine walk-in tent sites.  Kayak or canoe the Guadalupe River. When the water levels are good there are several options for paddling trips. Explore 13 miles of hike and bike trails.  (Sometimes, we may close trails to protect sensitive areas or for bad weather. Please observe closure signs. Call or check our Facebook page or Twitter feed for updates.) Step away from the river to find the more peaceful areas. For a more primitive experience, our remote Bauer Unit Day-use area has hiking and biking trails with ratings from moderate to challenging. Experience native prairie grasses and wildlife. River access is a 2- to 3-mile hike downhill.  The Bauer Unit has no restrooms or potable water and fires are not permitted. Pack out your trash and Leave No Trace! Learn more about the park’s natural features at the Discovery Center. Take a closer look at nature using magnifying glasses, microscopes, and binoculars. Explore hands-on discovery boxes and exhibits. Ask about borrowing an explorer pack!

Volunteers will assist the group leader during Bible Story time by helping residents see and hear clearly, offering gentle encouragement, and passing out hymnals and refreshments. You will also engage with residents in a warm, friendly way to help each person feel included and valued.   What will volunteers need to bring or wear? Comfortable, modest attire. Imagine the Hill Country of 100 years ago – see it for yourself at Honey Creek State Natural Area. This protected piece of land harbors plants and animals nurtured by a 1.5-mile spring-fed creek. Access to Honey Creek is only by guided tour. We lead two-mile tours of the natural area most Saturdays and Sundays. For details, check our Events Page at https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/honey-creek/park_events On the tour, you’ll hear about history, geology, plants, and animals of this special place. At the scenic overlook, you’ll get a first glimpse of Honey Creek winding through bald cypress trees far below. The tour culminates in a walk by the pristine and peaceful creek. The trail is about two miles long and moderate in difficulty--much of it is flat.  There are some rocky areas, slopes, and two steep but short hills.  *Expect the walk to last ~2.5 hours - there are frequent stops where your Guide will discuss topics such as flora, fauna and geology.   Who: Recommended for ages 7 and up; no dogs, please, except for service dogs Meet: Outside the Rust House (located within Guadalupe River State Park) When: 9- 11:30am Bring: Sturdy footwear, water, and sun protection.  It is imperative to dress for the weather and be hydrated during the summer months.
