This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate 125 years of Spring Outing alongside the 250th anniversary of the United States. It’s a moment to honor the visionary women who founded the Ladies’ Hermitage Association in 1889 and those who have carried its mission forward. This year, we are excited to have former CBS news anchor, Norah O’Donnell and author and historian, Kate Andersen Brower as our keynote speakers. They will be discussing their new book We The Women: The Hidden Heroes Who Shaped America, a groundbreaking book that uncovers the hidden heroines of American history – women who shaped the nation’s path but were long overlooked.

Fashion show: Experience a historical fashion show focused on the fashions worn during the Winchester family's ownership of Cragfont. Learn about the trends and fads that swept 19th century Middle Tennessee from fashion historian and Historic Castalian Springs Director, Tonya Staggs. Afternoon tea: Sit in the shade of Cragfont's amazing garden and sip tea with friends. The afternoon tea will consist of goodies and treats and a selection of teas. Please note that the afternoon tea consists of finger foods and is not a full meal.
