During Tapas and Tamarins, you will have the opportunity to learn from animal conservationists about ways to keep animals enriched, maintain a rainforest habitat, and who’s who of the rainforest! After your adventure, indulge in rainforest themed tapas* while sipping on a special rainforest inspired mocktail! Reserve your spot today! Capacity is limited to 30 participants and openings will not last long. *Food and beverage offerings subject to change based on seasonal availability and other factors beyond our control. Sit back and journey through space in a planetarium show! The Planetarium also has a ASH Warped Media fulldome projector that showcases fulldome show offerings. Planetarium show offerings are on Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm and during certain Monday holidays and school vacation weeks. Mental Health MorningsFebruary 12 & March 14, 9-10 AMRoger Williams Park Botanical CenterJoin us for an hour of calm in the magical space of the Botanical Center with a relaxed session guided by heath expert Sandra Victorino, presented by the Roger Williams Park Conservancy. REGISTER ONLINE. Tickets are free but required in order to keep the group to a reasonable size (limit 15). The session runs one hour additional time spent in Botanical Center is encouraged but requires purchasing a ticket in person or online. Sandra Victorino has a private practice and is co-founder of the Latino Mental Health Network of Rhode Island. She has worked in the mental health field for 17 years. Her areas of interest in health care are access for all populations, health and mental health equity, and culturally and linguistically appropriate health services. In addition, her current work focuses on building leadership capabilities, diversity and inclusion, and developing and strengthening partnerships in our communities.

Some possible sightings include woodpeckers, chickadees, finches and hawks. We will pay special attention to the ponds where wintering waterfowl can provide unexpected species. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring binoculars if you have them. All skill levels are welcome. Walks meet at the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium.  Pets and strollers are not permitted. Program fee per session: $3 per person/free for museum members. Pre-registration required.
