Coffee, Crafting, and Community Group This group meets every Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM to noon at the Drew’s Hope Grief Center. It offers a supportive environment for grievers to gather and work on any crafty projects they wish to bring. For those who don't have their own projects, we provide adult coloring books and puzzles. Occasionally, there may even be a group craft project. Coffee and tea are provided, and you’re welcome to bring a snack to share! No matter where you are on your grief journey, the journey is often easier when you surround yourself with people that "get it". You don't have to grieve alone! Crafting Hope is an arts/crafts-based grief support group for adults who are grieving the death of a loved one. The group meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Drew's Hope Grief Center, 946 Ashton Dr., Shippensburg, PA. Pre-registration is requested by emailing the DMTF at [email protected]. This is especially important so we can notify you if the group gets canceled for some reason. The group includes grievers who are bereaved spouses, parents, adult children and more with losses ranging from accidents and illness to suicide and overdose. You can make healing connections to provide validation, encouragement and support. Group description - Come and meet others who are grieving the death of a loved one while you work on a craft project of your choice! Any arts/crafts that offer a positive mindset can be helpful to a griever, especially when gathering with other grievers for fellowship and support. We can also teach you how to knit. Studies show that knitting has shown positive mental health benefits for grievers so if you want to learn, we'll help you!
