Is your child a reluctant reader?PAWS for Reading has returned to HTFL! This special program gives children the opportunity to read aloud to certified therapy dogs in a calm, judgment-free environment. Itâs perfect for kids who are learning to readâor who just love dogs!The PAWS team will visit the library on the second Saturday of each month, offering 15-minute reading sessions for beginning and reluctant readers. Children can bring any book theyâd like to share with a furry friend.Spots are limitedâregister using the link below!Location: We meet at the Youth Services circulation desk on the second floor of the library. Please check in with a librarian when you arrive - and bring a book! Sessions take place in Study Room #1 - caregivers will be able to observe through the glass wall. If you are on the waiting list: Please check in at the desk at the beginning of the program. Each reading session lasts 10-15 minutes. The four slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis; please sign up for one session only.Spots open on short notice - we will offer them first to children on the waitlist, then to anyone else present and interested.
