5 weeks / Thursdays, 5PM â 7PM / February 12th-March 12th Ages 10-15 Calling all adventurers! The local guildhall is looking for more members to handle the increasing need in the community. Monsters abound, thievery is on the rise, and poor old Granny Twotooth is missing her cat! Do you have what it takes to be a hero? This is a collection of one-shots, meaning the characters will do a different adventure each week. Players can participate in all 5 or jump in and out as needed. That dream became a reality late in life though, when he made a pact with his 6yr old daughter, in an attempt to inspire her to overcome her fears. Since then, he has hit the comedy scene running, working clubs in LA, Chicago, all over the east coast and opening for acts like Jimmy Shubert, Rich Vos, Joe Materese, and Dustin Diamond. Being divorced and a father of 3 daughters, Buddy attacks modern day family life with an energetic and relatable style. Cassandra Dee â Cassandra Dee is a stand-up comedian, writer, and ardent self-deprecator from the suburbs of Philadelphia. She performs her distinctive brand of dark comedy at festivals like the Boston Comedy Festival and Rogue Island Comedy Festival. She can also be seen around the Philly area at venues like Good Good Comedy Theatre, Punch Line Philly, and Helium Comedy club, where she won the title of Phillyâs Phunniest Person in 2018. The John Byrne Band â  The John Byrne Band is led by Dublin native and Philadelphia-based John Byrne. Their debut album, After the Wake, was released to critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic in 2011. With influences ranging from Tom Waits to Planxty, Johnâs songwriting honors and expands upon the musical and lyrical traditions of his native and adopted homes. John and the band followed up After the Wake in early 2013 with an album of Celtic and American traditional tunes. The album, Celtic/Folk, pushed the band on to the FolkDJ Charts, reaching number 36 in May 2015. Their third release, another collection of John Byrne originals, entitled âThe Immigrant and the Orphanâ, was released in Sept 2015. The album, once again, draws heavily on Johnâs love of Americana and Celtic Folk music and with the support of DJs around the country entered the FolkDJ Charts at number 40. A quarter of a million black people were still enslaved in the state of Texas after âthe peculiar institutionâ was abolished by the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863. We invite you to discover why Texas wassuch a hotbed of slavery after its legal end, dive into the importance of General Orders, No. 3, and delve into the real cultural significance of an African American tradition that spans generations. Black Magic Woman Productions grew out of a need to create opportunities for theatre artists of color. Since 2006, BMW Productions has promoted an appreciation for the African-American theatre canon. Led by playwright Renee Lucas Wayne, this group of actors, playwrights, and directors continues to develop new works, re-imagine the Classics, and provide access to theatre for underserved communities.
