We’re firing up the pit for our 2nd Annual National BBQ Day Bash, celebrating National Barbecue Day and Marty Clubb’s Texas roots with slow-cooked barbecue, bold L’Ecole wines, and plenty of country swagger. The food will be finger-lickin’ good. Our pit crew is serving up a crave-worthy barbecue feast, making you come back for seconds! What we’re looking forward? Seeing all the country swagger, y’all are going to bring! This is your moment to dress the part. Dust off that western wear you’ve been waiting for an excuse to wear. Boots, hat, fringe, denim, are all encouraged. Hosted at our Historic Schoolhouse, this hoedown is all about good food, great wine, and unapologetically fun vibes. Grab your crew, giddy up, and get ready for a yee-haw good time, L’Ecole style! Your ticket includes wine during our welcome hour, a full barbecue dinner + gratuity. Join us Saturday afternoon, May 16, 5:00 p.m., for our Spring Choral Concert, featuring the choirs of Walla Walla University. This year, the repertoire's theme is about "Time", which will be sung about extensively by ICantori and University Singers, the two choirs performing in this concert. This concert also features the Misa Criolla by Ariel Ramírez, a celebrated Argentianian take on the classic mass, featuring Spanish litrugical text combined with Andean folk rhythms and instruments. This mass will be performed with Trío Guadalevín, a Latino world music ensemble based in Seattle. All are welcome to attend!

After the parade, head on down to the museum located at 410 North First Street. From 11:00am-2:00pm experience what life was like in Dayton during the early twentieth century. Appreciate the taste of homemade butter on fresh bread, smell some flowers in the Boldman Garden, shell corn or peel an apple using vintage techniques, experience doing laundry in tubs with a washboard and a wringer, learn about and use old hand tools, and more. This is a free activity for everyone.
