Gesa Power House Theatre welcomes comedic magician Andy Gross for New Years Eve Comedy on Wednesday, December 31 at 7PM! Andy Gross is one of the hottest stand up comic, magician and ventriloquist working today as evidenced by his sold out shows and devoted following! His videos have over 100 Million views and counting on the internet! He performs over 150 shows a year at comedy clubs, Las Vegas, cruise ships, fortune 500 corporate events, colleges and performing arts theaters everywhere. He is considered one of the best by his peers in the entertainment industry and he will leave you spellbound. On Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 7PM, Gesa Power House Theatre welcomes Amelia Day and the Cloves! This program is supported, in part, by a grant from the Washington State Arts Commission. This project is also supported in part by Creative West which receives support in part from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. Amelia Day is a folk rock powerhouse entering the conversation with mainstays like Sheryl Crow, Hozier, and Brandi Carlile. Underscoring her carefree melodies with gritty, confessional lyricism and raw, heartfelt delivery, she shares stories of young queer life with an intimacy that makes even new listeners feel familiar. Raised in Washington state, Amelia is deeply influenced by the folk and grunge artists that also found their footing in the overcast forests and slick streets of Seattle (like The Head And The Heart, Fleet Foxes, Nirvana, and again, Brandi Carlile). Mixing elements of her adolescent mixtapes of folk, rock, and jazz, she creates music that plays freely with genre, but is still undeniably “Amelia Day”. Gesa Power House Theatre proudly presents a live cinema screening of Dr Strangelove on Sunday, January 11 at 2PM. This program is supported, in part, by a grant from the ArtsWA.  Seven-time BAFTA Award-winner Steve Coogan plays four roles in the world premiere stage adaptation of Stanley Kubrick’s comedy masterpiece Dr. Strangelove. This explosively funny satire, about a rogue U.S General who triggers a nuclear attack, is led by a world-renowned creative team including Emmy Award-winner Armando Iannucci and Olivier Award-winner Sean Foley. A production from Patrick Myles and David Luff. Based on the motion picture directed by Stanley Kubrick, screenplay by Stanley Kubrick, Terry Southern and Peter George, based on the book ‘Red Alert’ by Peter George. The Gesa Power House Theatre and Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival are proud to welcome the Clarinet Quartet of the U.S.A.F Band of the Golden West for this special patriotic concert on Wednesday, January 14, 2025, at 7PM. This is a FREE to the community event! This program is supported, in part, by a grant from the Washington State Arts Commission. This project is also supported in part by Creative West which receives support in part from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. The Band of the Golden West has performed for gubernatorial inaugurations, with guest artists such as Marvin Stamm, Arturo Sandoval, Bob Hope, and for the fans of San Francisco Giants, Sacramento Kings, and the San Francisco 49ers. In 2023, the Band was honored to perform for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meeting hosted by President Joe Biden in San Francisco and attended by dozens of presidents and prime ministers from around the world. More recent events include featured performances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, and the Tournament of Roses Parade. MSgt Susan Govier, a Colorado native, graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1999 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance and Arizona State University in 2001 with a Master’s Degree in Music Performance. In the summer of 2001, she auditioned and was selected for assignment to the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, where she served as clarinetist. Throughout her four assignments, Sergeant Govier’s responsibilities have included Director of Operations and First Sergeant. She has also had the honor of performing for numerous U.S. Presidents and dignitaries.MSgt Randolph Palada is a 2010 graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, San Francisco, CA where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance. In 2012, he received a Master’s Degree in Music Performance with honors from the New England Conservatory of Music, Boston, MA. MSgt Palada was Principal Clarinet of the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra (MA), has held positions with both the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra and the Discovery Chamber Ensemble, was a substitute musician with the San Antonio Symphony, and performed in the Saar Wind Projekt ensemble in Saarbrucken, Germany.SSgt Clarissa Osborn is a 2013 graduate of The University of Oregon, Eugene, OR, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Clarinet Performance. In 2015 she received a Master’s Degree in Clarinet Performance from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. SrA Osborn held the position as principal clarinet of the Newport Symphony in Newport, OR from 2017-2019, served as clarinetist with the Hollywood Concert Orchestra on their 2017 tour of Japan, and has subbed with symphonies such as the Eugene Symphony in Eugene, OR and the Dearborn Symphony in Dearborn, MI.SSgt Louis Kim is a 2016 graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, San Francisco, CA where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance. In 2018 he received a Master’s Degree from DePaul University, Chicago, IL. His teachers include Luis Baez, Jeff Anderle, Julie DeRoche, and Larry Combs. During his Air Force career, he has musically supported Brigadier General Chuck Yeager’s memorial service, recorded a radio session with the Serbian Jazz Orchestra, and has performed alongside with the Ukraine National Presidential Orchestra and the British Army Band Colchester in Kyiv. International Guitar Night (IGN) returns with a dynamic lineup featuring Vietnamese classical guitarist Thul Le , rock/flamenco/classical powerhouse Lucas Imbiriba (Brazil), innovative fingerstyle guitarist Alexandr Misko (Russia), and, for the first time, ukulele master Taimane (Hawaii). Lucas Imbiriba blends flamenco fire, Latin rhythms, classical melodies, and rock energy into breathtaking performances. On Saturday, January 31, at 5:30 PM, Gesa Power House Theatre will host the third annual February Film Feast (or ALMOST February!). Gesa Power House Theatre proudly partners with Visit Walla Walla, Walla Walla Movie Crush, and Walla Walla Community College Cuinary Arts to celebrate February Restaurant Month with a night of culinary celebration. Local farmers and purveyors will be joining us to share our region’s bountiful goods and enjoy films showcasing the culinary arts. Join us at 5:30 PM for mingling and feasting on locally sourced culinary delights. Get ready to laugh the night away as Gesa Power House Theatre welcomes Andrew Sleighter and Tyler Boeh to the stage on Saturday, February 7, 2025 at 7 p.m. for an evening of incredible music. Andrew Sleighter started in comedy looking for the perfect funny line to open a biography. Since then, Andrew’s laid-back style and clever writing has won him appreciation from fans and respect from his peers. Andrew performed on Last Comic Standing, recorded a comedy special for Dry Bar and made his late-night stand-up debut on Conan. He’s also written and performed sketch comedy for Comedy Central and wrote and blogged for the Sports Show with Norm Macdonald on Comedy Central. Most recently Andrew appeared on the Late Late Show with James Corden.A regular at colleges and comedy clubs across the country, Andrew’s also performed at some of the most prestigious comedy festivals in and out of the country including Bumbershoot, Bridgetown, Gilda’s Laugh Fest, The Aspen Comedy Festival, Laughing Skull, and the Johnny Carson Great American Comedy Festival. Andrew’s comedy has the ability to reach wide ranges of audiences and works in a diversity of rooms. Reliable and consistent, he rarely ends a show by lighting the stage on fire out of rage. Most importantly, he’s constantly fascinated by and eager to keep learning about stand-up. How do you go from being a nationally recognized vocal percussionist in a college acapella group to a nationally touring headlining comedian? Ask Tyler Boeh, a comedian whose comedy has been described as high-energy, intelligent, physical, and silly. His quick wit and award winning “beat-boxing” talent bring audiences to hysterical heights. Tyler started his stand-up career in his hometown of Portland, OR, but after placing in the finals of comedy competitions in Seattle, San Francisco, Boston, and at the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas, Tyler made his way to Los Angeles. Within a year of his move to Hollywood he had established himself at the top comedy clubs, completed work on two television pilots, and Tyler’s debut comedy album, “Carpool Companion” was chosen as LaughSpin Magazine’s album of the year when it was released in 2012. In 2015, Tyler held his own with Craig Fergusson on his new show, “Celebrity Name Game”, was featured in numerous BuzzFeed videos, and appeared in 3 episodes of “Laughs on Fox”. 2016 culminated with a college tour that took him to nearly 40 campuses across the country and a return visit to showcase for the third season of “Laughs” on Fox. In 2018, Tyler released his second album, “Full Circle”, which was selected in January as the SiruisXM 98 artist of the month and debuted at #2 on the Billboard Comedy Charts. Also in 2018, he released his Dry Bar Comedy special “Wait For It”, which has already received over 10 million views online. In 2023, Tyler returned to Dry Bar to film his second special titled “Upgraded”, which was released across multiple platforms in February of 2024. In 2025 in addition to his regular touring and headlining dates, Tyler has been a regular opening act for Leanne Morgan on her nationwide “Just Getting Started” tour.
