Step into the story with Department Diaries – Hillsboro Storytime Edition, a special four-part series created to celebrate the City of Hillsboro’s 150th anniversary! Throughout 2026, the Library will partner with City leaders and departments to present Storytimes that highlight the people and services that make our city thrive. Each session will feature a special guest who will share stories and activities inspired by their work, offering families a unique glimpse into Hillsboro’s vibrant community. Events will be held on second Fridays from 4:00–5:30 PM, culminating in a festive finale just days before Hillsboro’s 150th birthday on October 19, 2026. Event Timeline: January 9, 2026 at Shute Park with Parks & Recreation April 10, 2026 at Brookwood with a Library Board member July 10, 2026 at Shute Park with the Water Department October 16, 2026 at Brookwood is the Finale Celebration with Mayor Beach Pace (150th Anniversary Celebration).
