Gather for a calming and meditative drum session with other community members on Mondays from 12:15pm-12:45pm in the outdoor garden at Curry Public Library, as weather permits. Free and open to anyone. Bring own drum if you can.

Walk On! Gold Beach, the library’s walking group, welcomes community members to join them for their outings on Thursday mornings at 10:15am. If you would like to participate, contact Margaret Ostrowski, [email protected] to opt-in for an email about the meetup location of the coming week’s walk. The group has explored in-town walks, sometimes starting at the library, but has also ventured to the Frances Shrader Old Growth Trail, the Jim Hunt Birding Loop, and several segments of the Rogue River Walk on Jerry’s Flat Road. Walks are casually paced (slow enough to pick up litter) and not too strenuous. Well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome.

Join us for connection, communication, and ways to care for and celebrate a woman’s ability to change and grow toward self-fulfillment in a warm and supportive environment. Come alone or bring a friend to the Woman’s Wellness Group the second Wednesday of the month from 2-3:30pm at Curry Public Library. Tea and hospitality provided. Snacks to share are welcome. The group is facilitated by Jana Rivers-Norton and is free and open to the public. Jana Rivers-Norton, PhD, is an Art Therapist-P, Professional Counselor Associate, college instructor, and writer, whose works on creativity, positivity, and women’s subjective wellbeing have appeared in peer-reviewed journals.
