Boevers Elementary invites families to its Afterschool Spring Showcases this month on Monday, April 13 and Thursday, April 16. On Monday, April 13 Boevers will host a Taekwondo Belt Cenremony at 3:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. On Thursday, April 16, Boevers will host an afterschool showcase at 3:45 p.m. in the gy, featuring Boppin Bobcats, Guitar Club, Baile Folklorico and Creative Movement Dance. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m.

Union Select Theatre presents "Tinker Bell" at 7 p.m. April 16-17 at the Union 8th Grade Center. Tickets are $5 cash at the door. The Union production is directed by drama teacher Sierra McCoy. The author is Patrick Flynn. Everyone thinks they know Peter Pan. But until you have heard Tinker Bell’s  side of the story , you really have not heard it at all. When all the fairies in Neverland start dying, Tinker Bell comes to London to find a friend. There she meets a young boy named Peter Pan who has just run away from his family so he can be a little boy forever and have fun. It is time for Girls in Aviation Day Tulsa 2026! This event will be hosted at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum, 3624 N 74th E Ave , on April 18, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. This event is an opportunity for girls and boys, ages 8-18, to be introduced to aviation and all the facets it has to offer! We will have many different aviation companies attending along with schools and women and men in the industry speaking about the different types of aviation jobs available. We will also have many aircraft and hands on activities for the kids to participate in. At the end there will be a drawing (*Must be in attendance to win*). Sign-up to attend this event.

National Oklahoma City Bombing Commemoration Day on April 19th honors the memory of those killed in the Oklahoma City bombing on April 19, 1995. The Oklahoma City bombing was a domestic terrorist bomb attack on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City. It remained the most destructive act of terrorism on American soil until the September 11, 2001, attacks. The blast in Oklahoma City claimed the lives of 168 people, including 19 children under the age of 6 and injured more than 680 people.
