 Purchase tickets On January 24, 25, 31, and Feb 1, Mason High School Theater will present An Evening of Edgar Allan Poe by Robert Mason. Show times on each day is at 7 pm with an additional matinee on January 25 at 2 pm. This matinee will be ASL interpreted. Enter the wonderfully creepy world of Edgar Allan Poe with six faithful adaptations of some of his most haunting works. From old favorites such as The Cask of Amontillado and The Tell-Tale Heart to lesser known gems like The Oblong Box and The Purloined Letter, this collection of short plays will create an evening of chills and thrills. The play is produced by agreement with Playscripts, Inc. An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe is rated PG-13, for some mild language and spooky thrills.  It is best suited for audience members aged middle school and up. General Admission Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students, children, and seniors.

Attendees will hear updates that are taking place throughout the district, and have an opportunity to ask questions, give feedback and engage in productive conversation about the future of our school district. Instead of reporting to school on Personal Learning Days, students choose or design their own learning experiences. Personal Learning Days empower students to pursue learning that inspires, engages, or connects with their interests and goals. The District provides a framework and a variety of learning opportunities, and families and students have a choice in how they accomplish those learning objectives. This is a student/family/community learning opportunity, and there will be time to collect and celebrate the learning. WHERE: Learning can take place anywhere, anytime! WHY: Personal Learning Days are a recognition that learning happens outside the school day. On personal learning days, students will experience integration of learning and their life by embarking on projects outside of school that may include service learning, global learning and online learning. Choice is very important for authentic learning. It is exciting to see kids designing what they want to learn about, and how they're going to learn it. We recognize that growing the next generation of engaged citizens, problem-solvers and leaders means encouraging our students (and our administrators and teachers) to embrace a culture of healthy risk-taking. As we move forward, we hope to empower students to make more decisions about their learning everyday.
