About Us
The mission of The Nature Conservancy is to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends. The Ohio chapter of Nature Conservancy (TNC) was chartered in 1958. TNC in Ohio has worked with an array of partners to protect the state’s natural areas. The Conservancy currently manages 26 preserves throughout Ohio, 7 of which are open to the public, and has helped protect more than 60,000 acres of the state’s natural heritage. TNC in Ohio also works actively to influence state and federal policy to ensure the health and protection of our lands and waters.
