Please join Ohio History Connection and the National Park Service in celebrating several milestones for the Paul Laureunce Dunbar House Historic Site on June 27, 2026. Fresh from a $700,000 rennovation to historic site through the Saving America's Treasures grant program, the house will be open for tours with special guests and living history throughout - as poets, musicians and actors play the parts of Paul, Alice and Matilda Dunbar. Celebrate Paul's birthday, enjoy music and poetry readings on the lawn, craft a birthday card to Dunbar, and help us celebrate the 90th anniverasary of the Ohio legislation that made the Dunbar house the very first state-operated house museum dedicated to an African American.Â
