Are you looking for a way to get involved at Cuyahoga Valley National Park? Join us for our Invasive Plant Removal Drop-in to improve habitat for native plants and wildlife. Invasive species overcrowd native species, making it difficult for them to thrive. Your efforts will help improve soil quality, restore native plants, and create better habitat for native wildlife. Drop-ins are a great opportunity for both first-time and veteran volunteers to get involved in their national park. You will use hand tools such as loppers and saws to remove invasive plants. Suitable for ages 10 and up. Volunteers who are 10-15 years of age must have parent or guardian supervision at the project site. Volunteers who are 16-17 years of age are only required to have a parent or guardian sign their Volunteer Agreement form. Outdoor work gloves and eye protection will be provided, but volunteers are permitted to bring personal equipment. We will have a water cooler. Please bring a refillable water bottle.

Held in the historic G.A.R Hall, Voices in the Valley celebrates roots music from local, national and international touring artists. Kick back, relax and join in for unforgettable performances!April 24 - Tony Trischka: Earl JamTony Trischka has embarked on a musical journey through time, unearthing a treasure trove of rare recordings featuring the legendary Earl Scruggs. The unexpected discovery came in the form of a thumb drive containing over 200 recordings of Scruggs jamming with John Hartford at private gatherings during the ’80s and ’90s.Trischka, having studied Scruggs for over half a century, delved into the collection, transcribing new solos, tones, and tricks from the bluegrass icon. Inspired by this musical goldmine, he showcased some of these pieces in an overview of Earl’s career at Joe’s Pub in New York City. When Ken Irwin of Down The Road Records heard a recording of the show, the idea for a unique album was born and Trischka wasted no time bringing together a stellar lineup of musicians to bring this new material to life.Join us for a special night of music with one of the premier banjo players of our time, Tony Trischka as he and his band bring these recordings of Earl Scruggs to life.

Kick back, relax and join in for unforgettable performances!April 25 - The Honey DewdropsVirginia natives, Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish of The Honey Dewdrops began touring in 2009 and released their newest album, Here in the Mountains, in August 2024 – a batch of songs written and inspired by the origin story of a close friend.Throughout their two-decade partnership, the Dewdrops have highlighted the power and intimacy of two voices and two instruments in both live performances and recordings. Laura and Kagey constantly push the boundaries of their experimental folk sound—blending electric and acoustic guitars, mandolin and clawhammer banjo—while weaving in tight vocal harmonies. They remain committed to deepening their understanding of the world through songwriting and music.
