Leadership Lewisville-Clemmons invites the public to join us for an eye-opening and interactive experience where participants take a look at poverty from a variety of different levels. The Poverty Simulation Experience presented by Crisis Control Ministry is designed to help participants begin to understand what it might be like to live in a typical low-income family situation, trying to survive month-to-month. Participants will role-play the lives of low-income families -- some are disabled, some are seniors living on social security, and some are TANF (temporary assistance for needy families) recipients. Tasked with providing basic necessities and shelter on a limited budget, participants will interact with human service agencies, grocers, pawnbrokers, bill collectors, job interviewers, police officers, and others. Sponsored by the Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Lewisville-Clemmons.   NOTE:  Space is limited and if you claim a spot, please be committed to it.  A lot of time and effort goes into recruiting volunteers to make this experience happen and your participation helps create a more impactful experience for the LLC class.

We are so thankful that you have made plans to join us for our monthly Chamber Meeting!  We want you to get the most out of your time with us, and whether this is your first meeting, or your 100th, please read all the details below regarding our meeting policies.  We appreciate your cooperation!   SEPTEMBER MEETING DETAILS Meeting Date:  September 8 RSVP Deadline:  September 3 (Registration is required for all attendees, regardless of lunch order) Speaker:  Tracey Buck, Entrepreneur / Motivational Speaker Caterer:  Westtown Restaurant Center of Attention:  TRU Tae Kwon Do Sponsor of the Month:  MJS Live Productions Non-Profit of the Month:  Smart Start of Forsyth County CHECK IN POLICIES Official Check-In Time is 11:20 AM; meeting is from 12 - 1 PM. CHECK IN!  Whether you ordered lunch or not, please let us know you arrived to ensure we have accurate records. Check in closes at 12:00 PM. We do not allow Walk-Ins!  Please note that pre-registration is mandatory for all attendees. We are unable to accommodate walk-ins as we must prepare adequately for all guests. We send multiple reminders each month, and our office can assist with your monthly registration for a nominal fee if desired. Space is limited to 170 people; to ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate, we kindly request that you commit to attending once registered, as space is limited. A reminder that RSVPs are essential to attend the monthly Chamber Meeting.   INFOMERICAL POLICIES $5 for 30 seconds Limited # available Sign up window starts at 11:30 AM (new policy, effective August 2025) We do not allow pre-meeting sign-ups   LUNCH POLICIES Cost: $16 per person. Payment: Payment is due at the time of registration. Ordering Deadline: Lunch orders must be placed by the RSVP deadline to provide an accurate headcount to our caterer. Meal Availability: The LCCC does not order extra meals beyond registered requests. Non-Refundable/Non-Forwardable: Ordered lunches are valid only for the month of registration. If you are unable to attend the meeting and did not notify the Chamber office before the RSVP deadline, your lunch fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to a future meeting. Leftovers: Any leftover food is donated and not available after the meeting ends. Supporting Members: By ordering lunch, you directly support our valuable restaurant and catering Chamber members.  Out of respect for our caterers, no outside food is permitted. Dietary Accommodations: Due to the meeting format and our caterers' selected menus, we cannot guarantee options for specific dietary needs, including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, or vegetarian meals. Pre-Paid Lunch Plans: Annual pre-paid lunch plans are available. Please contact the Chamber office if interested. All pre-paid lunch plans will automatically include meeting registration.   GUEST POLICIES Chamber Meetings are a Member Benefit. Not-Yet Members are allowed to visit ONE Chamber Meeting ($20) before joining the Chamber; lunch is included with your registration.   OTHER NOTES / RECOMMENDATIONS / POLICIES Bring lots of business cards! Wear a name tag! If you would like to bring a door prize, just let our welcome committee know at the registration desk. Overflow parking is available at Clemmons First Baptist Church (3530 Clemmons Road, Clemmons). We might take your picture and put it on social media!
