Join us for a fun and no-stress Spanish practice hour, listening to children's stories in Spanish and hearing their English translations. Each week, we will present (usually two) stories from our online book collections. Although the picture books have fewer words, the language is complex and poetic, the books are beautiful and full of good vocabulary. Staff members are also Spanish learners. Our group will be conducted in English and stories will be read in Spanish and translated into English.

Through guided prompts and quiet creativity, participants will explore the small sparks of warmth, memory, and meaning that bring steadiness and joy during this time of year. This session is open to writers of all levels—no prior experience is needed. Whether you write for self-care, clarity, or simple enjoyment, this program offers a supportive space to express yourself at your own pace. Sharing is optional. Recommended for adults 18+. Write to Heal is a monthly virtual writing club designed to support individuals navigating grief and loss through the art of creative writing. This program offers a compassionate, safe space where participants can explore their emotions, share experiences, and foster healing through storytelling, journaling, poetry, and reflective writing. Calling all adventurers! The Allegra Westbrooks Regional - Beatties Ford Road Library will hold weekly Dungeons and Dragons sessions online for customers ages 18 and up! Create a character, tell your story, and have an adventure! It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or a pro. All are welcome to participate. This is an ongoing campaign, but you are welcome to join at any time. Contact Jeremy at [email protected] to explore options for inserting your character into the campaign. Limited spots available. Register with an active email address to receive additional information on how to join. Must have access to a PC and a microphone. A webcam is encouraged, but optional. Participants will be asked to create a free Discord and/or DnDBeyond.com account. This program will be provided by Allegra Westbrooks Regional - Beatties Ford Road Library staff and volunteers and is for adults ages 18 and up. Teens wishing to play should check out a regular "Dewey and Dragons" session.
