Join us for the debut public reading of our 3rd annual Exquisite Corpse Community Story. Twenty-eight brave writers have contributed their voice to the story—let’s find out where the story is headed together! For those unfamiliar, an “exquisite corpse” is a game where participants take turns building on each other’s story. Each participant only gets to see a small portion of what the previous writer created, so the group’s creative endeavor often wanders off in unexpected directions. This year we are thrilled to have writer Sari Botton contributing our first paragraph to kick off the story! Sari Botton’s memoir in essays, And You May Find Yourself…Confessions of a Late-Blooming Gen-X Weirdo, was chosen by Poets & Writers magazine for the 2022 edition of its annual “5 Over 50” feature. We are an informal group of Woodstockers who want to remain independent as we age. Our goal is to exchange information and provide support to each other so that we can continue to be active members of our community. Staying in Place meets every Monday from 11am-1pm.  ......More

We are an informal group of Woodstockers who want to remain independent as we age. Our goal is to exchange information and provide support to each other so that we can continue to be active members of our community. Staying in Place meets every Monday from 11am-1pm.  We are currently trying out a second meeting time for those who can’t make Mondays (or want to come a second time). We will also meet on the library lawn on Wednesday, from 1 to 3, bring your own folding chair. If it rains our Monday room will be available. All are welcome, please join us!
