PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Special Meeting of the Mount Vernon City School District Board of Education will take place on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Education Center, 165 North Columbus Ave., Mount Vernon, NY 10553.  Members of the public may view the meeting LIVE on our website or Facebook: https://www.mtvernoncsd.org/our-district/board-of-education/meeting-video-library https://www.facebook.com/MountVernonCitySchoolDistrict Comments about meeting topics and agenda items will be accepted at the email address  [email protected] .   Parents, students and community members can voice their concerns, opinions and questions during and after meetings using that email. It is anticipated that upon convening the meeting in public, the Board of Education may determine to immediately entertain a motion to convene an executive session for the purpose of discussing 1) pending litigation, 2) the financial history of a particular person or corporation or matters leading to the appointment, employment, demotion, discipline, suspension, dismissal or removal of a particular person or corporation and 3) to receive legal advice on a pending matter.  Public comments, if any, shall be limited solely to the items being discussed at the special meeting.
