Join us at Business After Hours! We are excited to join our host, Canopy by Hilton Ithaca Downtown & The Strand Cafe! The scene at Strand Café, located inside the Canopy Hilton hotel, is welcoming to both locals and travelers with a relaxed yet refined vibe that will make you feel at home and in luxury. The Strand Café offers modern cuisine and works with small purveyors and the local farmer’s markets to create vegetable-driven plates and whimsical takes on familiar dishes, like their Napoleon-style pizza. The Canopy Bar prides itself on precision mixed cocktails made with high quality spirits, with outstanding local beer options, and wines that celebrate the finger lakes region. The centrally located,131-room hotel offers great views of Downtown Ithaca. Bring your business cards for an opportunity to network - we will have raffle tickets for the door prizes!  Tompkins Connect, our young professionals' group, will be in attendance to collect donations for the Greater Ithaca Activity Center (GIAC)'s Giving Tree again this year. GIAC makes sure that each child in their program gets a present this holiday season. Tompkins Connect invites you, our supportive community members, to get into the holiday spirit with them by participating in the GIAC Holiday Giving Tree! The Tompkins Chamber is proud to host a DEI: Brave Space session, "Accessibility and Inclusion for Businesses" presented by the Finger Lakes Independence Center Join the Finger Lakes Independence Center’s Jeff Boles and Andrea Champlin for practical tips on how to increase accessibility and inclusion at your place of business. The training session will cover a brief overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), your responsibilities as a business owner, cost-effective tips and tricks, and guidance for increasing inclusion. Attendees will also receive a resource list for additional guidance and support. Finger Lakes Independence Center (FLIC) Finger Lakes Independence Center (FLIC) is dedicated to supporting persons with disabilities of any age to live as independently as possible for as long as possible. They offer the borrowing of assistive devices and equipment, information and referral, peer counseling, benefits advisement, personal assistant programs, employment assistance, student transition services, and so much more.
