The Tompkins Chamber is proud to host a DEI: Brave Space session, "Accessibility and Inclusion for Businesses" presented by the Finger Lakes Independence Center Join the Finger Lakes Independence Center’s Jeff Boles and Andrea Champlin for practical tips on how to increase accessibility and inclusion at your place of business. The training session will cover a brief overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), your responsibilities as a business owner, cost-effective tips and tricks, and guidance for increasing inclusion. Attendees will also receive a resource list for additional guidance and support. Finger Lakes Independence Center (FLIC) Finger Lakes Independence Center (FLIC) is dedicated to supporting persons with disabilities of any age to live as independently as possible for as long as possible. They offer the borrowing of assistive devices and equipment, information and referral, peer counseling, benefits advisement, personal assistant programs, employment assistance, student transition services, and so much more. This DEI: Brave Space session is presented by BorgWarner.

Chamber Members: save up to $60 on registration for the monthly Business After Hours events and support the Tompkins Chamber by paying in advance for all monthly BAH events, January through December 2026. Individual registration for each BAH is $10 in advance for Chamber members and $15 at the door.  $90 (Regularly $100-$150)  ***Change in 2026: This pass has become so popular, we are happily continuing the discount but will need passholders to register for each BAH event in 2026. This will allow us to give more accurate attendance numbers to our hosts and vendors to ensure capacity and limit food waste. Community Conversations serve as a forum for the Tompkins Chamber and Visit Ithaca to engage leaders of businesses and organizations in different localities within Tompkins County and allow us to better understand and support the unique needs of each community. All business owners, non-profit leaders, and government officials are invited to attend. Participate in a facilitated discussion about the strengths and challenges of businesses and organizations in the Groton community.  Network with other business, nonprofit, and community leaders. Explore highlights of the Tompkins Chamber & Visit Ithaca's programs of work and relevant opportunities for your community. Registration is requested but the event is free and open to all; you do not need to be a Chamber member to participate.  Please note, the chosen time was based on previous feedback from member business owners and attendees.
