The weird and wonderful family comes to life in this magnificently macabre musical featuring everyone’s favorite creepy, kooky characters. Gomez Addams faces a dilemma that’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family—a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez must do something he’s never done before—keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents. Join Columbia Land Conservancy (CLC) and the Alan Devoe Bird Club for a guided birding walk at Ooms! The walk will be led by Joanie Scheu as we look for grassland species, including bobolinks and meadowlarks. This event is great for all birders, including beginners! Ooms includes 3 miles of trails on 180 acres of land and offers visitors year-round opportunities to enjoy the rolling grasslands around Sutherland Pond. What’s involved: We will walk up to 2 miles along the Pond Loop and Meadowlark Trail. These trails are open, mowed grass paths with a typical grade of 4% and a max grade of 14%. Bench seating is available along the trail. What to bring: Please bring a water bottle and wear weather appropriate clothing and footwear. Bringing a camera and/or binoculars is recommended for this program! CLC will have binoculars available to borrow. What not to bring: Please, no dogs.

Celebrate America’s 250th Independence Day at the home of the Livingston’s in Clermont. What was life like for the people of Clermont at the dawn of the Revolutionary War? See reenactors portray the daily life of these colonists through live demonstrations. Meet the Livingston family inside the historic mansion. Make a historic craft and try out a colonial game. Be entertained by the songs and stories of the era and end the day with a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Please note: The cost of this event is $15 per vehicle. Cash only. The event ends at 5:00pm. The park closes at sunset. (there will be no fireworks viewing)
