The Greenport Village tree lighting is part of the annual Parade of Lights, which takes place on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The parade starts at the corner of Main and Center Streets, proceeds through the village, and ends at Mitchell Park, where the tree will be lit. The event features lighted fire trucks, Santa and Mrs. Claus, caroling by local school children, and hot chocolate. Date: Saturday, December 6, 2025 Time: 4:30 PM – 7:00 PMLocation: The parade begins at Main and Center Streets, concluding at Mitchell Park for the tree lighting. Activities: • Parade with lighted fire trucks and festive floats • Santa and Mrs. Claus will be present • Caroling by local school children • Hot chocolate and cookies • FREE carousel rides (Children 12 & under) Rain Date: The rain date is scheduled for Sunday, December 7, 2025. * RETURN TO ALL HOLIDAY EVENTS *

This year we will be relying on “People’s Choice” for participating windows! Via QR Code’s everyone is welcome to score each display- we will unveil the winners during the BID’s Ugly Sweater Party on December 20th at the Black Llama Bar. It’s all about showcasing Greenport pride, spreading cheer, and creating a winter wonderland that draws locals and visitors alike. Yes, just one day this year! Coincides with Holiday Crafts and Letters to Santa! Find the snow globes and match the businesses where you find them. Look in participating businesses to find the numbered snow globes hidden in each! Once you’ve run around the Village and found all the globes -hand in completed forms at Blue Duck Bakery or Harbor Pet. All participants will be entered via a raffle ticket to the Holiday Grand Prize Basket or the Holiday Gift Basket for Children. Participants will hand in forms at Blue Duck Bakery or Harbor Pet as a raffle ticket for the Kids Basket or An Adult Raffle Ticket for Our Grand Prize Baskets.
