Whether you’re developing new work, facing creative challenges, or seeking fresh perspectives, this facilitated space offers artists the rare opportunity to engage in constructive dialogue with other artists who understand the creative process. Referencing the proven framework of Critical Response Process®, you’ll learn how to articulate your artistic intentions, ask meaningful questions about creative work, and provide and receive feedback that deepens your practice and advances your work. What to ExpectEach session features three presenting artists (thirty minutes each–five minutes of presentation and twenty-five minutes of facilitated feedback) who share their works in progress for critical feedback and dialogue through a facilitated and structured critique process. Through the supportive framework referencing Liz Lerman’s Critical Response Process®, participants develop skills for respectful and constructive creative critique while building their professional networks within the local creative community. Who Should AttendArtists at any stage of their career working in any medium: visual arts, performance, writing, multimedia, and beyond. Whether you’re developing new work and need feedback, want to strengthen your critique skills, or seek to build connections within the local arts community, this circle offers a supportive space for growth and dialogue. These facilitated monthly sessions provide an opportunity to gain constructive and practical feedback on your works in progress.
