Musical Storytime is a high-energy and heartfelt storytime/concert hybrid for young children and their grown-ups. Mr. Corbitt reads and sings picture books based on popular songs from the genres of rock, reggae, country, disco, jazz, soul, and more. Each page's colorful illustrations tell the story of the lyrics, like "Let's Dance" by David Bowie, "One Love" by Bob Marley, and "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor, just to name a few. Mr. Corbitt brings enough maracas and shakers for each child to have a pair throughout the program. In between these musical storybooks, Mr. Corbitt leads the audience in interactive singalongs of nursery rhymes and children's tunes. Children 6 months-6 years and beyond.

This lecture looks at both George Washington’s military career starting in 1754 as a 21-year-old major in the Virginia militia, and a history of the Revolutionary War including the military battles and winter encampments in New Jersey. Joel Farkas is a graduate of The Ohio State University, an Officer in the United States Army, a National Park Service volunteer docent at Washington's Headquarters, Morristown, NJ, a lecturer at Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Rutgers University, and a lecturer at Florham Institute for Lifelong Learning at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
